The Mayor of Sedgefield, Councillor Ann Carr, was very honoured to be asked by Sedgefield In Bloom to cut the ribbon at their new memorial bench at the turnpike area earlier today.

Sedgefield In Bloom’s new bench is in memory of group members who are no longer with us and who are sadly missed by many.  The bench was designed by Mr Walter Howell, funded through Durham County Council and made by David Ogalvie Engineering (Kilmarnock).

Thanks to the industrious members of the Bloom who have worked hard to create this lovely area for the people of Sedgefield to enjoy.
