On 22nd June 2017, the village green hosted young people from throughout the town as they came together to brighten up the area with marigolds, petunias, trailing lobelia and more. We are sure that you will agree that the tubs look fantastic this year, all in time for this year’s Northumbria in Bloom summer judging, which took place on 19th July. A big thanks to all the participants from Sedgefield Primary, Sedgefield Hardwick Nursey, 1st Sedgefield Brownies, 1st Sedgefield Guides, 2nd Sedgefield Brownies, St Edmund’s Pre School Coffee & Cake Group and Sedgefield Methodist Playgroup. As always, we are very grateful to our newly promoted Gardening Superintendent and Cemetery Supervisor Stephen Young for preparing the tubs and overseeing the event.
