Sedgefield Town Council has responsibility for the following areas:

- A number of bus shelters and public litter bins
- Butterwick Road, Beacon Lane and Winterton Cemeteries
- The town’s War Memorial
- Eden Drive Play Area and equipment
- Sedgefield Parish Hall and its hire
- The Sedgefield Extra

- Allotments at Butterwick Road and Winterton
- Selling dog bags
- Photocopying service
- Some Community Events including Fireworks Display, Snow Party, Remembrance Sunday Service, Mayor’s Carol Service and others

- Bin maintenance, bin collection and refuse collection
- Maintenance of footpaths
- Street Lighting faults and repairs
- Dog Fouling
- Graffiti, Vandalism
- Flytipping
- Pest Control
- Council Tax and Benefits
- Bus Passes and Blue Badges
- Garden Waste scheme
- Housing – Livin

- Maintenance and all issues relating to highways including parking restrictions
