The Mayor of Sedgefield, Ciaran Butterworth, has chosen Feeding Families as her headline charity for the year 2026/27. Ciaran explained “Feeding Families is a charity I have come to know through my teaching career as well as through its vital work in our area, providing food parcels for those who rely on them”, adding that “with food banks being used more widely each year, this is a resource our community depends on more than many people realise.”

Sedgefield Town Council has, for many years now, had a Feeding Families donation box in the reception area of our council offices, situated beside the doctor’s surgery and behind the bookmakers on Front Street. The office is open 9am-12pm weekday mornings with a later 1pm close on Wednesdays.
