Sedgefield Town Council originally submitted its objections regarding this planning application to the local planning authority, Durham County Council, in May 2024 with further objections submitted in March 2025. The Town Council’s objections related to air pollution, impacts upon nearby residents & businesses and highways safety concerns. This planning application has now gone to appeal and will be considered by the Planning Inspectorate. The Town Council’s previously submitted objections remain valid and will be considered as part of this appeal process. The Town Council will be discussing this application again at its next meeting on Monday 16th June 2025 at 7pm in Sedgefield Parish Hall if any member of the public would like to come along and express their views during our Public Participation agenda item. For members of the public who have already submitted comments regarding this application to Durham County Council, there is no need for you to re-submit those to the Planning Inspectorate as these will be forwarded by the County Council and your comments will be considered.
