Sedgefield Snow Party 2025 – SANTA TICKETS OUT NOW

With Bonfire Night out the way, we’re counting down the days until this year’s Sedgefield Snow Party! Taking place on Saturday 29th November 2025, we have a busy programme of activities throughout the town.

Starting off with the Christmas Tree Festival in St Edmund’s Church – you can drop into the church at any time from 10am to view the Christmas trees decorated by local organisations and businesses. The Mayor’s tree this year will be decorated to the theme of the book ‘Little Robin Red Vest’, with Christmas vests drawn and decorated by pupils from Sedgefield Primary School and Hardwick Primary School. Entry into the church is free, with donations greatly appreciated.

Santa’s Grotto opens at 12pm with pre-booked slots available until 3:12pm. Tickets are £5 and include a wrapped, age categorised gift. Tickets must be purchased with cash in advance at Sedgefield Town Council office. Please make sure you know the times you would like to see Santa when you come to book the tickets – slots sell out fast, particularly the later times! Alongside the grotto are free children’s activities in the main hall including bouncy castle, face painter and colouring table, PLUS Sedgefield Youth Club bake sale from the kitchen and fayre games by Chi Taekwondo, each raising funds for their clubs.

Over in Ceddesfeld Hall, local stallholders will be showcasing their crafts at our craft fayre from 1pm-3:45pm, with refreshments provided by Sedgefield District Uniformed Services Group. Ceddesfeld Hall bar will be be open 1-6pm so you can pop in after the light switch on to get warmed up again!

At 3:45pm, with all other activities finished, we’ll begin our carol service in St Edmund’s Church. Surrounded by the Christmas trees, we’ll enjoy a short service and carols featuring Ukulele Smile Time. The Mayor, Santa and his helpers will then lead the way down to the Turning Circle for the main event.

At 4:20pm, the Mayor will address the crowd gathered on the Turning Circle, drawing our glow raffle at 4:25pm. Glow raffle tickets can be purchased for £1 from the council office and both Sedgefield primary schools prior to the event. You’ll get a glowstick with a raffle ticket on – make sure you bring this with you to the light switch on! Our raffle winner will receive a goody bag including a Beamish Unlimited Family (2+2) Voucher and will take their place behind the magic podium to help the Mayor switch on the town’s Christmas lights at 4:30pm.

We can’t wait to see you there!
