The Town Council has been notified that a planning application has been submitted for the erection of 176 no dwellings (Use Class C3) with associated access, infrastructure and landscaping on land to the East of Beacon Avenue, Sedgefield. It is important that members of the public have the opportunity to find out more about this planning application and give their views on this proposal. The Town Council is now liaising with the applicant’s agents and Durham County Council planning officers to try and schedule some public information drop-in sessions so that you can find out more about this application. The Town Council will also organise a public meeting so that you have the opportunity to express your views about this application once you have attended the various public information drop-in sessions. As soon as dates/times have been agreed we will promote the public drop-in sessions and the public meeting. In addition, we are also organising meetings with our county councillors, neighbouring councils, and education/health service providers in the town, in order to establish their views on this proposed development
