INVITATION TO ATTEND SEDGEFIELD TOWN COUNCIL PUBLIC MEETING
Sedgefield Town Council will be holding a Public Meeting at 6pm on Monday 11th August 2025 in the main hall at the Parish Hall to provide residents with an opportunity to express their views about the planning application proposing a large-scale housing development on land to the East of Beacon Avenue in Sedgefield. This meeting has been timed so that residents have the chance to first attend a public information drop-in session with Durham County Council’s Planning Team on 14th July 2025 between 3.30pm to 6.30pm, also in the Parish Hall. We are continuing to liaise with the applicant’s agent, Lichfields, in the hope that they will also hold a drop-in information for residents. The Town Council is keen to know the views of residents regarding this planning application and your views will help the Town Council to make its response to Durham County Council, the Local Planning Authority. We must stress that it is also important that residents who have comments on this application, both for and against, must also submit those directly to Durham County Council via its planning portal. We look forward to seeing residents at the Public Meeting the format of which will be as follows:
